Can I become a freelancer?
Technological projects have strongly revolutionized the world in general, especially in the field of work. More and more people are opting for freelance jobs today. The reasons differ from one person to another. However, it’s important to ask if they fit this way of work before embarking on freelancing.
Why choose freelancing?
Freelancing or self-employment means freedom to do business. It's obvious that self-employment has many benefits. Every freelancer has his own motives for getting into the swing of things. Some become so by circumstance, others by will, or even, quite naturally.
It’s necessary above all to take time and think about what motivates us instead of becoming a freelancer for the wrong reasons like not having a boss, being able to stay at home, and so on. Freelancing for the purpose of lifting the constraints of everyday life, escaping the 9 to 5 office work is not a good reason (although this does not mean you will fail). Freelancing is a state of mind and a lifestyle.

You have an entrepreneurial spirit
Becoming a freelancer means becoming your own “boss” with a total personal investment. To become a freelancer, one must love independence and have an entrepreneurial spirit. When you become a freelancer, you will have to deal with the paperwork, fill in orders, manage creations, sending, tracking and billing quotes, accounting and tax returns, etc. Self-employment is also a challenge to how you manage your time. To meet deadlines, freelancers must know how to manage their time. Freelancing provides more hourly flexibility, but requires great rigor in management so as to meet your commitments.
You have exceptional sociability skills to work well alone.
Freelancing requires important relational skills. In addition to selling and negotiating your contracts, you will have to perform business functions like developping partnerships, making purchases, finding other people to outsource part of your work, etc. In short, freelancing is not about working in isolation.
True, working as a freelancer means not having colleagues around you on a daily basis. On a personal level, many people would be affected by this situation. It is therefore essential to project well into this future life and be sure to have a family circle and friendly relations capable of getting you out of your work zone from time to time.
