How to use keywords (text optimization) for SEO
When you are launching your business online it is important to know what “keywords” to use in the content of your website as well as taking some time to research on keywords that would be good to target for more visibility.
What do keywords do?
The more keywords that are used in the content of your website, the more likely your website will show up higher up in the rankings.
This is what is known to be as a big part of SEO (Search Engine Optimization), a process which affects the visibility of a website in a search engine - like Google. In general, the higher “up” you are on a search results page, the more visitors you will get.
An example, if you are a restaurant owner that only does plant-based dishes in London, it would be important for you to know what words people search for on search engines when they are looking for vegetarian dishes or trendy restaurants in London.
Those would be the keywords to prioritize on your website and to know what type of content and information you should privilege.
Don’t overdo it
Even though it is great to use relevant keywords for your business activity as well as its variants, do note that you shouldn’t saturate your content with just keywords! Make sure that your content is readable and flows nicely to avoid it looking too “spammy” for search engines.
